Online Resources for Worship & Discipleship

Below are some suggested links to videos, devotionals, websites, and other materials for spiritual formation at home and on the go.

  • Tidelands Youtube playlist

Here you can find some great playlists where we are constantly growing more content from the best of Youtube.

  • daily lectionary readings

The lectionary is a series of readings that will take you through the entire Bible every two years. Every day will bring you readings from Psalms, Old Testament, Gospels, and New Testament Books. You can also get the Daily Prayer App for reading the lectionary on your smartphone or tablet.

  • pray as you go

Pray As You Go is a free daily prayer session, produced by Jesuits, designed to go with you wherever you go, to help you pray whenever you find time, but particularly whilst traveling to and from work, study, etc. A new prayer session is produced every day of the working week and one session for the weekend. It is not a 'Thought for the Day', a sermon or a bible-study, but rather a framework for your own prayer. Lasting between ten and thirteen minutes, it combines music, scripture and some questions for reflection. There is also a smartphone app.

  • the bible project

The Bible Project is a fabulously creative resource of videos built around scripture. There are Biblical book introductions, overviews of theological topics, word studies and more. This is an ever-growing resource and fabulously FREE! I can't say enough about the incredibly way the break down complex theological topic and do it in an informed and faithful way. Take a look. Your kids will love these videos  too!

  • with god daily

Sky Jethani puts out a daily devotional that is succinct, informative, thoughtful, and creative. You can get it for free via email, but Skye requests a small donation to support his ministry. There is a short reflection every day, some suggested scripture readings, and a prayer. There is also an app that you can download.

  • Skit guys tv (sgtv)

The "Skit Guys" have been around for a long time and create some really great, clean, humor. Their skits for churches are hilarious. Now they are producing some new content called "SGtV." Some of it is directed at kids. Check it out!

  • Our Daily bread

A 75 year old ministry that has a number of online tools and resources including Bible reading plans, daily devotions, etc.

  • Bible reading plans by legoniar ministries

A solid collection of Bible reading plans.

  • Go online kid's bible curriculum

Take a look at some great videos for kids from our online Bible curriculum. More links are provided to those subscribed to our weekly email list

  • laugh and learn bible for kids

A great way to introduce kids to the Bible - adults will enjoy it too!

  • mr phil tv

Bible teachings by the creator of Veggie Tales.

  • N.T. Wright online

N.T. Wright is one of the foremost Christian theologians of our time. He is a widely published author and speaker and is now producing valuable Christian educational content online. Some material is free, and some comes with a fee - but it is all a deal for what you get!

  • Vox podcast

Mike Erre does an excellent job of working through scripture in this podcast in a way that is informative, engaging, refreshing, challenging and worth your time!

Service Sundays

Our Service Sundays are opportunities for us to go out and serve our community as a congregation.  We plan our Service Sundays once a quarter in place of our regular worship service. Service Sundays are open to anyone who would like to join us, whether you attend regularly or not. Check out our Service Sundays page for more information.

Missional Communities

At Tidelands we have a vision of being a congregation of missional communities, with every missional community focused on living out the gospel to a particular people group within our community. Our missional communities typically gather at least once a week over a meal at a member's home. These are open to everyone and we would love to have you join us! Learn more on our Missional Community page.

Introduction & Building Tour

We purchased the original Stanwood First Presbyterian Church building for our office and worship gathering space. The building was built in 1909 and the property was sold by the Presbytery of Bellingham in the late 1920's. The purchase of the building was made possible by a generous grant by Northwest Coast Presbytery. Our first Sunday in our new location was June 7, 2015.
